Memorial Day Service And Parade | May 26th, 2014

 

This parade is for the entire community to honor Pennsylvania’s active and passed military, and will be festive event for all. Come early to set up your spot to view the parade, as a ceremony will begin at the Etna Cemetery.

 

Soldiers And Sailors | May 26th, 2014

 

A flag rising, parade, and wreath-laying service will follow a memorial service for all of the fallen Pennsylvanian’s in service. This national military museum is a must for anyone who wants to learn more about the Armed Forces and gain a deeper insight into the honor for these men and women. This event is open for the public, so pack a picnic and make a day at the Soldiers and Sailors Museum.

 

Carnegie Science Center | May 26th, 2014

 

On Memorial Day, all active military personnel are given half off of their admission rates to the Carnegie Science Center. You can catch an Omnimax movie, go to planetarium show, or tour a retired submarine. What a better way to celebrate a day than to get a hands-on learning experience of one of the nation's top science centers.
