No matter whether you are a total novice, someone who wants to get back into dance, or a self-professed dance addict, you are sure to find great classes, excellent performances, and a vibrant and welcoming community. Ballroom

Absolute Ballroom Dance Center of Pittsburgh gets high marks from multiple people. It’s variety of classes from Standard and American Ballroom to West Coast Swing, has made it popular with a wide range of people. It is also very welcoming to beginners and has reasonably priced “All You Can Dance” nights twice a week.

Salsa

Los Sabrosas Dance Company offers group and private lessons in Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue, as well as a variety of other classes at their private studio. Their courses are offered on a four-week schedule, so call ahead to see when the next session starts.

Argentine Tango

PGH Tango Connection conducts group classes and private lessons, as well as organizing milongas (social dance parties), and group excursions to Buenos Aires. The school is known for its friendly atmosphere and excellent beginner courses.
