Adda Coffee & Tea House boasts several locations around the city and features coffee, community, and conversation. Adda is Bengali for conversation — and the place to share it. Serving coffee roasted by Verve (Santa Cruz, CA) and boasting a fabulous Japanese-style cold brew dripper right on the bar, this place is legit.

Adda Coffee & Tea House has several locations around the city including one at 200 South Highland Ave. in Shadyside, a second at 926 Western Ave. in the North Side, another spot with a larger store at 4905 Penn Ave. in Garfield, and a fourth at 225 Fifth Ave., downtown.

Commonplace Coffee opened in 2003 by founders Julie and TJ Fairchild. Commonplace was born out of a desire to love coffee and love people — a way to build community and to care for people through making beautiful coffees in neighborhood spaces.

Commonplace Coffee has eight locations throughout Pittsburgh and Indiana, Pa. The Squirrel Hill branch is at 5827 Forbes Ave. We also frequent the shop in the Mexican War Streets at 1501 Buena Vista as well. If you’re looking for a coffee shop that’s as much Pittsburgh-themed as it is a cafe, Yinz Coffee is for you. Coming from the former founder of Crazy Mocha and featuring an array of menu items both familiar and new to patrons of the shop, Yinz also offers online ordering for the boldest movers and shakers.

Yinz Coffee has two locations in the city at 2 E North Ave. in the North Side and 4525 Liberty Ave. in Bloomfield.

Searching for a relaxing coffee shop with a wonderful ambiance? Then Redstart Roasters in East Liberty is the place to be. Redstart Roasters began in 2017 as the intersection of a considerable coffee habit and an affinity for birds. In the short time since, it’s grown substantially in operation and scope, and is increasingly poised to make major inroads to its two goals — sourcing and roasting the highest quality coffees and bringing awareness to the importance of sustainable growing practices with regard to bird habitats.
